Aston Martin has featured in more than 100 video games since the mid-1990s, including Forza Motorsport, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Need for Speed and numerous James Bond titles, most recently 007 First Light, released in May 2026 and featuring the Aston Martin Valhalla.
While its production cars are typically recreated for video games in close collaboration with developers, ensuring an authentic representation of the real vehicle, the gaming landscape has also given Aston Martin the freedom to explore original concepts without constraint, including the DP-100, created for Gran Turismo 6 in 2014.

Now, the Aston Martin Design Team has once again let its imagination run wild with a digital-only military-specification vehicle developed exclusively for the Call of Duty® universe. The Aston Martin Dreadnought takes its name from the phrase meaning ‘fear nothing’ while also paying homage to HMS Dreadnought, the 20th-century British battleship that revolutionised naval warfare. It is a deliberately extreme creation, as befits a virtual world that transports players to demanding and unpredictable environments. Yet, as Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman explains, even a car that exists only in the digital world must remain grounded in reality.
“To create the ultimate exotic off-road machine, I had to imagine Dreadnought not only as a digital asset, but as a vehicle living in the real world – navigating the streets of New York, powering through the monsoon-soaked roads of Mumbai, and performing with complete authenticity in every environment. That vision allowed us to create something that feels genuinely real, even within the immersive world of the game.”

Combining supercar performance with advanced armour technologies and adaptive combat intelligence systems, Dreadnought doesn’t just look the part; it delivers a dynamic and engaging driving experience for players, complete with the roar of a full-blooded Aston Martin V12.
“To me, Dreadnought is unmistakably an Aston Martin – amplified without restraint,” adds Reichman, whose team incorporated signature ultra-luxury design details, including herringbone-weave exterior carbon fibre, Oxford Tan leather across the dashboard and door panels, and a metallic gold gear lever. “The quality of the details we have been able to include, right down to the iconic Chiltern Green paint colour so synonymous with this marque, underscores our dedication to delivering a truly authentic Aston Martin experience.”

For the lead development studio behind Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 4, Infinity Ward, the design process has been equally enjoyable. “Collaborating with Aston Martin’s design team has been an incredible journey,” says Co-Studio Head Jack O’Hara. “We’ve brought the vision of Dreadnought to life from the ground up. Every element, from early concepting through to animation, geometry, and in-game physics and propulsion, was carefully engineered to deliver a high-performance armoured vehicle that stays true to Aston Martin’s distinctive design philosophy.”
Dreadnought made its global debut at Fanatics Fest in New York on Thursday 16 July 2026, where attendees were able to see a full-size model of Aston Martin’s virtual SUV on the Call of Duty® stand. It is the latest example of Aston Martin exploring new creative platforms through which to express its design philosophy and connect with new audiences.

“The Dreadnought isn’t just a digital vehicle; it’s a strategic gateway for a younger, global audience to experience our ultra-luxury DNA,” says Stefano Saporetti, Director of Brand Diversification, Aston Martin. “By pushing the boundaries of virtual engineering, we are ensuring that the spirit of Aston Martin resonates powerfully with the luxury consumers of tomorrow.”
Where Aston Martin will venture next in the gaming world remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the marque’s designers won’t be short of ideas. “The team have hugely enjoyed the not inconsiderable challenge of redefining what an Aston Martin can be when the only limit is imagination,” says Reichman.
Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 4, published by Activision, will be available globally on XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5® and PC via Battle.net, XBOX on PC, Steam, and Nintendo SwitchTM 2 on Friday, October 23, 2026
